New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Where & when does the church meet?
Our Church meets every Sunday at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pemberton Gardens, Upper Holloway. Please note there is limited parking by the church on Sunday mornings.

What should I expect when I visit the church?
You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

Our 11am service is led by our vibrant worship team with several worship songs. You will hear a twenty to thirty minute talk explaining a passage from the Bible with a strong desire to help people practically work through what they are learning. Readings and prayers are led by the congregation and testimonies of God’s awesome works in people’s lives regularly shared. Approximately halfway through the service the children and young people will head off to their groups with this being announced from the front. The service will last approximately 90 mins.

11am monthly services:

1st Sunday  All Age (Children & young people stay in for whole of service)
2nd Sunday  Morning Celebration (with children and youth ministries)
3rd Sunday  Praise and Communion (with children and youth ministries)
4th Sunday  Morning Celebration (with children and youth ministries)
5th Sunday  Morning Celebration (with children and youth ministries)

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after our services where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the kids at church?
We have a fantastic programme for the kids at the Church:

Creche in Children’s room at back of church (up 3 years). Children must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times.
Children aged 4-10 in small hall and vestry weeks 2, 3, 4, 5.
Young people aged 11-18 in log cabin in rear church garden weeks 2, 3, 4, 5.

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs), then someone will announce when the children and young people need to go to their groups.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?
Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?
Please feel free to contact us.
